Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 2026
1. About this policy
This policy explains how Barsum LTD (company number 15776430, registered in England and Wales) uses cookies and similar technologies on this website, in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR. Please also read our Privacy Policy.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies, such as browser local storage, work in the same way. In this policy, we call all of them “cookies”.
3. How we ask for your consent
When you first visit the website, a banner gives you three equal options: “Accept all”, “Reject all” and “Manage preferences”. Only strictly necessary cookies are used before you make a choice. All other categories are off by default and are only used if you switch them on.
4. Categories of cookies
| Category | What it does | Consent needed |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Makes the website work and remembers your cookie choice | No, always on |
| Analytics | Helps us understand how visitors use the website, such as which pages are viewed | Yes |
| Marketing | Used to measure or show advertising | Yes |
| Functional / third-party content | Allows content from other providers, such as embedded maps or videos | Yes |
We do not currently use marketing cookies or embedded third-party content. The map on our Contacts page is a link to Google Maps, not an embedded map. If we add any of these in future, the cookie banner will ask you for your consent before they are used.
5. Cookies we use
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Category | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| barsum_consent (browser local storage) | Barsum LTD | Stores your cookie choice, its date and the policy version | Strictly necessary | 12 months |
If we add new cookies to this website, for example for analytics, we will list them in this table before they are switched on.
6. Changing your choice
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using “Cookie settings” in the website footer. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the website may then not work as intended.
7. How long we keep your choice
Your choice is stored for 12 months. After that, or if this policy changes significantly, we will ask you again.
